I wanted to get up into the San Gabriels to see the snow from our past weekend storm. I felt like Sunset Peak was a good spot to get some views so I headed up Mt. Baldy Road. I didn't want to deal with snow and ice on other peaks, since Sunset Peak is around 5700 feet elevation I figured I wouldn't have to deal with as much snow. This turned out to be true, as only some remnants of the storm remained in the shady parts of the fire road. I wish I could have made it up earlier in the week, I bet the views the day after the storm were brilliant. Anyway, here are some pictures from today and hopefully I'll have a full write-up by the end of the weekend.
